Kalaivizha of Bishop’s College, Colombo
In the Kalaivizha Competition organized by the Tamil Literary Association of Bishop’s College, Colombo, Shaima Hameed won the 3rd Place for the Best Creative Verse and Gopika Sivakumarwon the 1st Place for the Best Actress in the Individual Category.
In the All-Island Announcing Competition Aruni Arulananthan and Gajenthini Sivakumar won the 3rd and 5th places of the Sandeshiya Awards in the Announcing Competition respectively.
Inter House Tamil Drama Competition
The Inter-House Tamil drama Competition was held on Friday the 28th of October in the School Auditorium.
Best Production- Choate House
2nd Place- Scott House
3rd Place- Park House
Best Script- Park House
Best Actress- Aysha Faizer (Scott House)
Best Supporting Actress- Gugakeerthana Kandasamy (Scott House)
The Senior Tamil Literary and Dramatic Association meets on the 1st and 3rd Mondays of every month from 1.45p.m. to 2.45p.m.
The objectives of the Association to enhance the knowledge and skills that students have in the language of Tamil by conducting various programs.
The association conducts inter-house competitions for Oratory, Debates, Drama, Creative Verse and Essay competitions and encourages the students to take part in island-wide and inter-school competitions.
In the Kalaivizha Competition organized by the Tamil Literary Association of Bishop’s College, Colombo, Shaima Hameed won the 3rd Place for the Best Creative Verse and Gopika Sivakumar won the 1st Place for the Best Actress in the Individual Category.
