Junior English Debate and Oratory Finals
The Junior English Debate and Oratory Finals were held on the 9th of June, 2011, in the school auditorium. We were glad to have two old girls as judges – Aksha Suares and Erasha Sugathapala. Restarick House (proposition) and Scott House (opposition) debated on the topic “Community service should be mandatory in schools”. Five finalists from Grades 6 – 9 presented their views on a variety of topics in the impromptu oratory competition.
